The pistachio roll (Fıstık sarması) is made from one roll of wafer-thin filo dough and is richly filled with finely ground Antep boz pistachio nuts. When preparing the Fıstık Sarması, slightly less sugar syrup is used than with the classic baklava. Furthermore, the baklava is baked in the oven at a temperature of 170 degrees.
The pistachio roll is made from the ingredients granulated sugar, Antep boz pistachio, drinking water, wheat flour, butter, wheat starch, egg, table salt and a number of secret ingredients of the blacksmith.
The baklava has an average shelf life of 10 days, provided the product is stored in a cool and dry place.
